Computers have arrived

February 1, 2010 by hint Leave a Comment

We are happy to announce that the 40′ container of computers and accessories that left the UK on December 14 finally arrived Bonduma, Buea on Saturday January 30, 2010, ie just after 6.5 weeks.

It was extreme

Not many containers get around this area (not to talk of a 40′ for that matter) so it was quite a scene with so many neighbours and passersby who stood all around to watch and one could read amazement on their faces.

Since we could not afford to hire a lift to lift the container with the goods and place on the ground, we had to hire more than 33 young men who first of all emptied the container to the ground and after that had a small lift pull the empty container to the ground after a hard struggle. Once the empty container was down and properly placed, our more than 33 young men again had to pick up all the goods from the ground back into the container.

It was a long and tedious exercise but we made it finally
