Job Opportunities at HINT

HINT currently has 5 job opportunities as follows:

  1. IT Project Manager
  2. Software & Hardware Computer Technician (Knowledge of Linux OS will be a high advantage)
  3. Office Secretary (Advanced skills in Microsoft Office is a plus)
  4. Accountant/Cashier (Any knowledge of Quickbooks Accounting Software will give a high advantage)
  5. Webmaster (Knowledge of CSS, HTML, WordPress, and related softwares is required).

If you believe you have the necessary skill in any of the positions above, submit your hand-written application to our Head Office at Bonduma, beside COGENI, Bonduma on or before January 15, 2010.

Attach the following to your application:

  • A copy of you most recent CV
  • Photocopies of your hightest two Diplomas or Certificates
  • Proof of work experience, if any.

Only successful candidates will be contacted after the January 15.

Back Packs 2009 supports 26 children and 7 teachers

Back Packs is an annual project of Helps Intternational (HINT) during which we provide educational support to children who withtout such support will either not be in school of will retard in ttheir education because tthey do not have the basic educational supplies they need. In 2009, we supportted 26 children and 7 teachers most from Government Primary School Wottolo-Bonduma.

The support included most cash gifts to support the children’s needs including also schools textbooks to some children, several boxes of chalk to support the school and exercise books tot help teachers and writing their notes and preparing for their classes.

We are very thankful to those who supported Back Packs 2009 especially Joe & Hev Talbot and our other UK partners and friends.

Genesis Tinshu receives Shining World Leadership Award

Genesis Tinshu, Founder/Executive Director of Helps International (HINT) has received the Shining World Leadership Award from Supreme Master Ching Hai International Humanitarian Association in the USA.

The award was presented to him by Mr. Tom Vennum, an association member at their Arlington, Texas office on August 29, 2009.

The award honors the distinguished people, countries and organizations in our present day society that have made a positive difference on our planet through their noble actions. For the purpose of recognizing these caring actions, and in response to the reports about many positive developments in the world, Supreme Master Ching Hai founded the Shining World Leadership Award in March 2006. The pure crystal award represents the shining noble ideals of the honored individuals, nations and organizations whose pioneering work and selfless dedication have significantly contributed to the harmony and beauty of our planet.

The award came with a cash award of US$ 10,000. The funds will go to support our School PCs Project that is connecting thousands of school children to the internet through computer labs connected to the internet.

The award presentation was then aired on Supreme Master Television on January 20, 2010.

John & Elizabeth Batton donate to HINT

John & Elizabeth Batton who live in Fort Worth Texas, USA have made a very significant donation to Helps International (HINT)

The donation includes a cash amount of $500 to help more women gain training and access to micro-loans that will help them come out of poverty and an original copy of Quickbooks Premier 2009 to help us in our accounting.

We are very thankful for your generosity and pray that God will increase your resources and multiply his blessings towards you and you family.

People often travel from Europe and the USA to volunteer at HINT. If you can help to donate any of these items (new or used), contact us to let us know and some of our volunteers may help bring to us. Thank you for helping:

  • Farming Tools
  • Public Address System (Microphones, speakers, amplifiers, etc)

We accept any kind of useful equipment. If we can’t use it, we will convert it into cash when it arrives Cameroon. The funds will then be used towards our charitable causes.
