After 11 months volunteering at Helps International, Joseph and Heather Talbot return to Britain on June 7th.
During their time with us, Joseph has written and taught classes in Web design and manipulating digital images with Photoshop, as well as building this website.
Heather has produced and run a ‘train the trainers’ HIV education program, from who’s ranks she has established ‘HINT-HED’, an HIV Educators group. Heather has also set up the Wotolo Community Health Advice Centre.
We are grateful to Joe and Hev for the work they have done during their stay, and wish them well on their return to Britain.
We have very exciting volunteer opportunities, if you want to volunteer, read more here.

Two of HINT’s UK supporters, Michael and Margaret Astbury who recently visited Cameroon have organized a Coffee evening to raise funds for our Community Library Project here in Buea. About 80% of children in primary schools in Cameroon have 20% of the required text books while only about 20% have about 70% of the required text books. With this condition, learning for the children and teaching for the teachers become difficult. We have been trying to help this situation by buying books for about 50 children for the past 2 years.
