Ted and Glenys Talbot, the parents of Joseph Talbot, currently volunteering with HINT recently made a visit to Cameroon to see their son and daughter in-law (Heather Talbot) and to visit Helps International (HINT) and see for themselves the work they are doing.
They were also able to visit several other parts of Cameroon including Babanki-Tungo in the North West Province, Korup National Park in Mundemba, Kribi, Limbe…
“We are very please with the work Helps international is doing especially in the area of helping to educate children from poor homes. Thank you also for taking good care of Joe and Hev”
Two of HINT’s UK supporters, Michael and Margaret Astbury who recently visited Cameroon have organized a Coffee evening to raise funds for our Community Library Project here in Buea. About 80% of children in primary schools in Cameroon have 20% of the required text books while only about 20% have about 70% of the required text books. With this condition, learning for the children and teaching for the teachers become difficult. We have been trying to help this situation by buying books for about 50 children for the past 2 years.
